New York Paid Sick Leave:

Latest Guidance and Lingering Concerns

The New York State Paid Sick Leave law technically took effect on September 30, 2020. Practically, however, employers have until January 1, 2021, to prepare for implementation. Still, time is running short.

Recent guidance from the State offers a few additional answers, but also raises new questions. Several critical issues remain up in the air. We’ll try to fill the gaps as well as possible in hopes that more answers may yet come before the end of the year.
