Preparing for the Post-Pandemic Workplace:

Just Getting Started When It’s Over

For many Americans, especially in hotspots like New York, the novel coronavirus has completely changed their daily routines. Most of the country is virtually shut down. And it’s perhaps optimistic to start talking about “re-opening.” But that will happen, in some form, at some point. And it’s not too early for businesses to start preparing for what that looks like. Because it almost certainly will be more involved than just unlocking the doors and flipping a switch.

We can’t offer all the answers about what employers will need to do, but we can help identify the likely questions. We have some ideas about how the application of existing employment laws will inform this process. And it’s quite likely there will be many new requirements on employers. Businesses who wait until they know exactly what those are might struggle to respond to them. So, we’ll make suggestions on how to stay ahead of the curve.
