HERO Act Update Part I:

Airborne Infectious Disease Prevention

On May 5, 2021, Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the New York “HERO Act.”

The HERO Act has two distinct components:

  2. Permits employees to voluntarily create workplace safety commissions in businesses with at least 10 employees.

This webinar addresses the first of these components of the HERO Act.

The NY Department of Labor recently released model airborne infectious disease exposure prevention plans based on industry. All private companies must adopt a compliant plan by August 5, 2021.
